"Bin gerade dabei, Duke's Sophisticated Lady wieder neu durchzuhören, one of my favorites.
Ich erinnere mich an Nicaragua 1989. Gastierte mit meinem damaligen Trio mit Günter Lenz am Bass und Allen Blairman am Schlagzeug in der Aula einer Schule in Managua. Fand ein altes Poster im Papierkorb: The Duke Ellington Orchestra live usw. von 1959!! Der grosse Duke hatte in derselben Aula gespielt, und der Papierkorb war seit 30 Jahren nicht geleert worden!!"
